SHARP SHOOTERS

One of basketball’s most valued skills is shooting. Players who can effectively shoot the basketball will always have a spot on the team & be awarded playing-time. Therefore, having an effective shot is vitally important in a player’s development. Learning & executing the fundamentals gives players an edge over the competition.

Players will learn & practice how to:

  • Establish a shooter’s platform by focusing on balance & alignment.
  • Develop the proper footwork coming off the cut, catch & bounce.
  • Move without the ball to get open & generate shooting opportunities.
  • Create a free-throw ritual to gain consistency.
  • Practice without a hoop to dramatically increase the number of reps.
  • And much more.

Competitions
Players will participate in various shooting competitions like Free-throw, 3 pt shooting, Around the World, etc.

SCORE MORE

Every basketball coach wants a player who can SCORE! Being a good shooter is different than being a great scorer. Scoring is much more effective and requires a more advanced skill set. In the SCORE MORE session, we give players the tips, techniques and mindset to “put the ball in the basket!”

Players will learn and practice how to:

  • Square up to the basket & attack
  • Employ various shot in different situations like the floater
  • Use a ball screen to create scoring opportunities
  • Finish at the rim 4 different ways
  • Develop a “Shake Move” to blow by a defender
  • And much more.

Competition
Player will play in 3-on-3 games to work on SCORING MORE.

WICKED HANDLES & PLAYMAKING

Most players think the only way to impact a game is by by shooting the ball. NOT TRUE! Players who can handle the ball (have wicked handles) and make a play are the most valued players on the court. This clinic will put players on the path to develop WICKED HANDLES  & show them how to MAKE A PLAY.

Players will learn and drill the skill on how to:

  • Coached thru the stationary ball drills
  • Change speed and change direction to beat defender
  • Read situations and make better “basketball decisions”
  • Use & play off the ball screen
  • Improve and score using your weaker hand
  • And more.

Competition
All players will participate in  4-on-4 games in the full short-court allowing players implement the new skills, handle the ball and make plays.

COMPLETE PLAYER

Nothing is worst than a player who can ONLY shoot. They can’t do anything else. They’re incomplete! Well, the “one-trick pony” doesn’t play on the HS team. Winning coaches want the COMPLETE PLAYER. In this clinic, players will incorporate all the skilled learned in the prior sessions PLUS given a dose of how to defend and rebound.

Players will learn and drill the skill on how to:

  • Develop a shot to score over bigger & lengthy defenders
  • Make a pass right off the dribble
  • Attack the defender to score off the dribble
  • Read & score off the ball screen
  • Play “on & off the ball” defense
  • Target and box out the offense from rebounding
  • And more.

Competition
All players will participate in tournament competition. Games be will  4-on-4 games in the full short-court allowing players to work on the complete aspects of their game.
